Tips for a Successful Family Photo Session {Utah Photographer}

  This cute family were so fun to photograph! I had a great time working with these spunky little girls and their fabulous parents. I wanted to share a few tips that the client can use to help ensure a successful family session. 

• Schedule your session during the time of day that is best for your kids. You want them rested, happy and with a full tummy. A good photographer can take great pictures in any time of light. It is a lot harder to get great photos of grumpy kids.  Don't forget to make sure Dad is also fed before the session. Usually Dads are not that excited about family pictures but they handle it a lot better if they are not hungry! ;) 
• Make sure that what you choose to wear you feel FABULOUS in! It will show in the photos. 
• Allow for plenty of time and come in a good mood and ready to have a positive fun experience. My family session tend to take about 2 hours. This allows me to capture all the relationships, give the little people breaks when needed and ultimately provide you with a fabulous gallery. My goal is to capture genuine smiles by playing games and asking funny questions. Be ready to play along and the reward will be a gallery full of fabulous images that capture the spirit of your family.

September 2012: National Stamping Month

2008 is in the Album! Thank You Studio J.

  The last event I needed to scrapbook to finish 2008 was our trip to Oregon. It was a big event with lots of pictures! This could seem like an overwhelming task especially when you factor in that I would need to duplicate these layouts 4 times (one set for the family album and each of my 3 kids' albums). Great to be EIGHT! lds baptism photographer

  It is Great to be Eight! Especially for this gorgeous girl.  She if full of personality and life.  We had a great time taking pictures, laughing and enjoying the beautiful spirit of the Logan Temple grounds.

  I had to share a few of my favorites from her gallery. This is such a wonderful milestone and I was honored to be asked to help document this moment in her life as she is making the decision to be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
