Don't you feel good about using up supplies that you have been storing for way to long. I always tell my workshop members that the great thing about how I run my workshops is that we become scrapbookers instead of scrap-collectors. Even I have paper packets and products that I have bought with intentions to use and haven't yet. Well as of yesterday there are 2 less level 1 kits in my drawers! For some reason I had 2 of the level 1 kit Building Blocks. I used both kits to finish duplicating these 4th of July layouts. Yes I duplicate layouts so that each of my family members have their own albums. It wasn't such a crazy idea when I only had 1 child.
Level 1 kits are fast and easy to assemble and with a little bit of accessories including eyelets (Yes that is right eyelets! When was the last time you used an eyelet?) and stamping these layouts are cute, done and ready for the albums. Oh and for icing on the cake there is a little more room in my paper drawer.
You can shop online anytime for level 1 kits on my website. Or if you would like to become a scrapbooker instead of a scrap-collector join my workshop group! Email or call me and I will share with you all the details.

The Last Days of the Lazy Days of Summer
It is sad to see summer come to a close. I am probably one of those rare Moms that actually love having their kids home from school. I love the laid back care free schedule of summer. I love not having the strict routine, homework and early bed time of school. So the last week we relaxed hung out with friends and enjoyed the end of our freedom!
This last picture cracks me up. Mikele my 6 almost 7 year old going on 16 was pretending to talk on her little sister's play cell phone. She declared that she felt like a teenage. On that cheerful note we will bring our summer vacation to a close, send the kids back to school and get back to the fun of creating beautiful layouts faster simpler and easier. Stay tune and I will have art work posted soon.

Disney World Signature Book
I have been missing in action for a completely legitimate reason. I was in DISNEY WORLD!!! My Grandparents gave us a very generous gift and took us all to Disney World for 10 days. We had an amazing time! We of course spent some quality time with the mouse but we also made time for Sea World and Universal Studios Island of Adventure. FYI the butterbeer was YUMMY! You can read more about our trip on my family blog.
Before we left on our trip I made these little signature books/ photo albums for my 3 older kids. I had it filled with 4x6 cards for the characters to sign and now that we are home I will fill in the rest of the pages with pictures from our trip.
The paper is from the Zippidee paper packet and the stamp set is exclusive to the Zippidee Workshop Kit. All of these items can be purchase online any time or you can contact me and I will order it for you.
Now that we are home I have the usual laundry, unpacking and over 350 PICTURES to scrapbook! That might seem overwhelming but with Studio J I can create the layouts online, duplicate them for each of my kid's albums and print! Oh and as an added teaser there are some exciting additions to Studio J coming in September 2010. How does 1/2 price layout sound?

August Workshop- "Passages"
At the August workshop class we will be creating 3 beautiful 2-page 12x12 layouts using the 4th and final new Reflections Level 2 paper packet from the summer 2010 idea book. I feel that the theme of passages is appropriate as sadly summer is winding down and we are gearing up for school to begin again. Don't worry we will go out with a bang!
I will admit this wasn't my favorite paper packet, judgment based solely from the catalog, but by the time I finished creating these layouts I had become a huge fan! this paper is very versatile as you can see by the titles of each of my layout. (I know you can't see the pictures but I have them ordered and on their way and the journaling and titles are already done. I will re-post the layouts once the pictures are on.) I also really enjoyed the opportunity to use a stamp set that normally I would not have bought. I love the keys and locks from the exclusive set the comes only in the passages workshop on the go kit.
Now you might be asking yourself "How can I get my hands on this great kit?" Well that is easy! I have listed the shopping list below. You can either shop online anytime from my website or call or email me today and I would be happy to help you with your order. Now that you know how to get these great products you might be asking, "How can I create these great layouts?" I can help you with that. You can either come to my class on the 17th or 19th of August from 6:30 until 9:30 or you can create these layouts at home with the help of the workshop guide that comes in the basic kit and Close To My Heart's amazing how to books! Orders for the workshop need to be to me by Tuesday, August 3, 2010. I can't wait to hear from you!!!

Photography Class- 3/4 of the way through
Today I am going to share a few more photos I took over the weekend for my class. I have been LOVING all the things I have learned and can't wait to scrapbook some of these pictures! Speaking of scrapbooking, I am working on the August workshop layouts as we speak. I will post them asap. Enjoy!
In Utah we celebrate Pioneer Day on the 24th of July. The kids played with some sparklers and I played with my camera. I love knowing how to use my camera!
This is my sweet baby Allie who turned one last month. I have decided that she is at a difficult age to photograph because she isn't walking and can't do very much. I was very limited on posing options.
Mikele is very fun to photograph. She is always pulling funny faces and shows so much personality. I have Adobe Lightroom and used one of their presets on this photo to adjust the coloring.
I dragged my family up on campus to take pictures around Old Main. There is a great view of the valley and I couldn't help but take this picture of the Logan LDS Temple.
I saved the best for last. I love this picture of my son. He told me he wasn't going to smile because he was looking "cool" instead. I have to agree he looks pretty cool!

Card Swap- Birthday Theme
I love using up supplies! For this month's card swap group our theme was birthday cards. I made this card using products that I had in my stash. I did not buy a single thing. The paper is from the Perfect Day paper packet, the ribbon from a previous creative basics pack and the stamp set is called It's Your Day. I added a little sparkle to the card with CTMH's Glitz Glitter Glue. The actual design of the card was inspired by my friend Lynette and was just adapted to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size.
On another note. You have 2 more days to sign up for the Clearly Splendor card class. I have 3 spots left so email or call me asap!
