I have a great tutorial to share with you today. I love our new alcohol markers because it makes my coloring look like a pro! In the tutorial Laura from CTMH will show you how to use the alcohol blending marker to create some unique looks.  At the end of the tutorial she shares a gorgeous card using a stamp from this month's stamp of the month set: A Flowering Bunch.  A couple of days ago I shared with you the December stamp of the month. Card and September Stamp of the Month

  This card is the one I made for my card swap group this month. I was so excited to try out the new Close To My Heart alcohol markers and they did not disappoint! They were fun and easy to use and I love that the markers come in a two pack. You get the CTMH color and then a lighter or darker complementary color marker as well. To stamp the outline I used the new mini black pigment stamp pad that comes in basics set. I also tried the Archival Blank stamp pad. I found that the pigment ink didn't bleed at all while the archival did bleed a little. 

  The scarecrow stamp comes from the September stamp of the month: Fall Favorites. The card was inspired by the talented Brenda Rose. She creates such beautiful artwork. Love Your Layout: February 2012

I promise I have not fallen off the face of the planet. I am still here just haven't spent much time on my blog.  I have cropped and ordered pictures for 18 layouts that were finished except for the journaling and pictures, working on a awesome Studio J project that involves 4x12, 8x12 and 4x6 flip flaps. Celebrated my hubby's birthday, enjoyed a fabulous valentines day, held this month's workshops where we created 3 2-page 12x12 layouts with the adorable Lucy paper packet, finished my card swap cards and a number of other mundane tasks (cleaning, homework, cooking, taxes ect.)

So with all of that you can imagine how shocked I was to realize that we only have 8 days left in the month!!! My personal goal is to raise enough for one surgery. That is just $240. With your help I think we can do it!
