Surf's Up Workshop

Designed using 2 SketchSavvy sketches as a starting point
I am anxious for warmer weather! So to help encourage mother nature we are going to create 3 sun filled layouts at the May workshop. These layouts were created using the Surf's Up workshop on the go kit and coordinating products. (full shopping list below) If you would like to create these layouts just order your supplies from my online store (don't forget to join the open party), request your cutting guide via email (iotamaker@gmail.com) and then get to work. (Really can you even call it work?) Or you can attend the workshop on Thursday, May 16th from 6:30-9:30.  Space is limited at the workshop so please RSVP.

52 Week Photo Project: Week 17: Something Yellow

I embarrased to admit that I actually took my photos for this weeks theme over a week ago and I totally blitzed putting up the post. :( Sorry about that. I captured my son sorting his legos. We have plenty of yellow legos at our house; and red, black, white, blue, grey ones as well! Ok I know he doesn't look very happy but it is more that he is focused. Legos are serious!

What did you capture that was bright, cheery and yellow? Add your link below or to the google+ community. Next week's theme is "Bedtime."

52 WEek Photo Project - Week 16: Sleeping

This week's theme is "Sleeping." Friday night was movie night. Allie climbed up on Jason's lap and quickly fell asleep. Jason wasn't far behind her. It is so sweet when your little girl cuddles with her daddy.

What precious sleeping pictures did you capture this week? I can't wait to see. Add your link below or to the google+ community. Next week's theme is "something yellow."

52 Week Photo Project - Week 15: The Car

Have you ever owned a vehichle that you just loved to drive. I mean really loved. Like made excuses to go places just so you could drive it? Well that is how I felt about my Jeep Liberty.  Jason bought it for me as a graduation from college gift. Really we needed a new car and it was about the time I graduated from college.  I loved driving my jeep. It was zippy with plenty of get up and go. I could get into any parking spot with the awesome tight turning radius. I was up off the ground and not too big or too small. Just perfect.  Sadly though it did not fit 3 car seats and so the day arrived that I had to give up my baby for a baby.
So what is your dream car? Or what do you drive now? I can't wait to see your posts. Add your link below or to the google+ community. Next week's theme is "sleeping."

Album Retreat

In March my amazing bff Cindy and I went to the CTMH album retreat. We had been looking forward to this event for over 9 months!!! We had the most fabulous time scrappin', chattin', and posing for goofy photos. I love going to these events that are packed with amazing people. I also love getting away, recharging the batteries and letting loose just a little.

Cindy, Sheena Searls and me. Sheena is the manager over consultant services at CTMH

Me, Jill Broadbent and Cindy. Jill is the artistic genius that created a lot of the layouts we made at the retreat.

Me and Amy Ulen. Amy and I LOVE Studio J. She is Studio J genius!

Carlie Roberston, Cindy and I. Carlie is the Creative Marketing director at CTMH. She is cute, fun and an artistic genius.

Me, Cindy and our Canadian friends that sat in front of us at the retreat. I always meet the most amazing people and ironically I always make friends with a few canadians at these events.

52 Week Photo Project - Week 14: Easter

This is my new favorite picture! I love everything about this picture - the adorable subject, the closed eyes expression on her face, the gorgeous lighting, everything. I recently read a book called The Child Whisper by Carol Tuttle. It was very enlightening and has changed the way I look at, raise and interact with my children. It is all about embracing their energy types. With that in mind, I let the girls each pick their own Easter dresses and shoes. As I looked at each outfit I was amazed how well they matched their individual energy type.  So when I went to take their Easter pictures I wanted to continue this thought process and capture their energy types in the photographs. When I captured this photograph I was sooo excited. I knew I had a winner. Here are a few more of my favorites from this quick session.

How was your Easter and what fabulous moments did you capture in this season of rebirth? Add your link below or to the google+ community. Next week's theme is "car."
