Newsprint Rub-Ons from Close To My Heart

How can it already be WEDNESDAY?  I don't know what happened to the first half of this week.  Apparently I am a little more sleep deprived then I thought.  As I mentioned last Friday I was off to Youth Conference over the weekend. We had a great time with 12 amazing youth.  We played, we ate and we learned.  We concluded our event on Sunday night with a spiritual testimony meeting and then a slide show that recapped our adventure.  Jason and I were exhausted by the end of the weekend. Not the best way to start a new week.

This is Allie's Funny Face.
Monday I did clean out the garage, Brock started soccer camp and I went birthday shopping.  Allie turned 2 on Tuesday! I can't believe my baby is 2.  I know that isn't that old but she is growing up so fast. It is bitter sweet. On the one hand I am excited to be done with diapers but on the other hand it is crazy to think that stage of my life is drawing to a close. So I just enjoy the moment and am grateful that Allie is such a snuggler. Well looking back on the week so far I can see why it is already Wednesday.
Boy I am sure chatty today. Well I do have something scrapbook related to share with you today. This month we used the new Newsprint Rub-Ons from Close To My Heart at my workshop class. I love these little buggers and the set comes with a bazillion letters for only $8.95 plus shipping and tax. So today I wanted to share this video with you to give you even more ideas about how to use this must have item. Of course I can order you a set or you can order them online anytime.

Don't forget you have only today and tomorrow to get your free Studio J jpg file and enter my blog candy giveaway!!

Blog Candy Studio J style

I hinted at an upcoming blog candy coming soon. Well soon is NOW! Keep reading to find out how you could win a HUGE prize worth $55.
This month Close To My Heart is offering an amazing deal for those of you who have been sitting on the fence about Studio J. You could always try it out for FREE but right now you can not only try it out but you can also download one Studio J layout for FREE as well! How cool is that?  You can post the web version of your layout on your blog or facebook and with the high resolution version you can have your layout printed and slip it into your album.
Let me show you why Studio J works along side my classic scrapbooking.  I create and duplicate many of my layouts for each of my kids. This is a little crazy and time consuming with 4 kids but I want each of them to have their own albums. Like most of you I am also behind on my scrapbooking. With Studio J duplicating layouts is so EASY and I can customize the layouts for each child. I am also able to complete layouts in a record amount of time.
Below you can see three layouts I created in Studio J highlighting the same event but I focused on a different child in each layout. I just take these completed layouts (I have Close To My Heart print them for the membership price and ship them to me for free which is another one of the perks of a membership) and slip them into each of my kids' albums right along side the classic layouts. With Studio J they layouts keep the same feel and look of classic scrapbooking. It saves me GOBS of time and is extremely affordable.

Still not convinced? Well try it out for free and create your own opinion. Just head on over to my website. Click on the Studio J Free-For-All image in the center of the page. Either create an account or sign in with your existing account.  It is free to create an account. Create your layout. (If you would like help call or email me and I would be happy to help) Then add your completed layout to your shopping cart. Select jpg only from the drop down menu next to your project in the shopping cart. Your total will now show a zero balance. You will need to give your layout the final look over and approve it before you submit your order. Submit your order. *This promotion is available to EVERYONE even if you already love Studio J and have a membership you can still download one layout for FREE!
You will be sent two emails - one is your receipt and the other will have a link to download the jpg file. Once you have downloaded your layout you are ready to share it with the world. Upload the web file to your blog, face book or social media of your choice. You can also hop on over to the Close To My Heart facebook page and enter the Studio J contest. Use the hi resolution files to print your layouts.

Now how can you enter to win some BLOG CANDY? Well first of all what am I giving away? How about a Studio J 5 pack!!! Yep that would be 5 printed two-page Studio J layouts, 5 memory protectors and free shipping and handling. That is a $55 value!!! You can enter to win this HUGE prize by creating your Studio J layout, ordering your FREE jpg file and posting it on Facebook and/or your blog. Then post the link on my Facebook wall or in the comment section of this post and you are entered to win.
For a bonus entry: share Studio J with a friend or family member and if they create, order and post their Studio J layout you get a bonus entry.  Leave another comment on this post with the name of who you shared Studio J with.

June Workshop - Miracle

New month new workshop layouts!!! This month we will be creating our 3 - 2 page 12x12 layouts with the Miracle workshop on the go kit and a few added accessories. (Shopping list below).  I love this kit because is so easy to customize the color palette to match any pictures. Let me explain. This first layout (above) I stuck to the colors in the paper. The bamboo, crystal blue, heavenly blue and sweet leaf colors worked perfect for my pictures.

In this second layout I wanted to pull in the orange from Brock's jacket so I added the sunset buttons and brads from the Sunset Mini-Medley collection.  I also sponged the Irresistibles Eclectic Alphabet letters in sunset ink. The rest of the title was created with Close To My Heart's new Newsprint Rub-ons.  The rub-ons come with 8-5"x6" sheets full of letters, numbers and punctuation marks.

This last layout is all about my cute baby Allie and her many facial expressions. She still doesn't talk but she has no problem expressing herself and getting her message across with that very animated face of hers. For this layout I pulled the pink from Allie's dress and added cotton candy cardstock photo mats, hears and once again sponged the irresistibles eclectic alphabet letters. A few brads in those fun button carnation flowers, inspired by Connie MacFarlane, and this layout had just the right amount of pink.

Workshop classes are held the 3rd Tuesday and Thursday of the month. If you would like to come and create these layout call or email me.  I have posted the complete shopping list below. All items can be purchased either on my website or by contacting me personally.

* I forgot to add the Irresistibles eclectic alphabet to the shopping list.
