August Workshop- "Passages"

At the August workshop class we will be creating 3 beautiful 2-page 12x12 layouts using the 4th and final  new Reflections Level 2 paper packet from the summer 2010 idea book.  I feel that the theme of passages is appropriate as sadly summer is winding down and we are gearing up for school to begin again.  Don't worry we will go out with a bang!

I will admit this wasn't my favorite paper packet, judgment based solely from the catalog, but by the time I finished creating these layouts I had become a huge fan!  this paper is very versatile as you can see by the titles of each of my layout. (I know you can't see the pictures but I have them ordered and on their way and the journaling and titles are already done. I will re-post the layouts once the pictures are on.)  I also really enjoyed the opportunity to use a stamp set that normally I would not have bought.  I love the keys and locks from the exclusive set the comes only in the passages workshop on the go kit.

Now you might be asking yourself "How can I get my hands on this great kit?"  Well that is easy! I have listed the shopping list below.  You can either shop online anytime from my website or call or email me today and I would be happy to help you with your order. Now that you know how to get these great products you might be asking, "How can I create these great layouts?" I can help you with that.  You can either come to my class on the 17th or 19th of August from 6:30 until 9:30 or you can create these layouts at home with the help of the workshop guide that comes in the basic kit and Close To My Heart's amazing how to books!  Orders for the workshop need to be to me by Tuesday, August 3, 2010. I can't wait to hear from you!!!

Photography Class- 3/4 of the way through

Today I am going to share a few more photos I took over the weekend for my class.  I have been LOVING all the things I have learned and can't wait to scrapbook some of these pictures! Speaking of scrapbooking, I am working on the August workshop layouts as we speak.  I will post them asap. Enjoy!

In Utah we celebrate Pioneer Day on the 24th of July.  The kids played with some sparklers and I played with my camera. I love knowing how to use my camera!

This is my sweet baby Allie who turned one last month.  I have decided that she is at a difficult age to photograph because she isn't walking and can't do very much.  I was very limited on posing options.

Mikele is very fun to photograph.  She is always pulling funny faces and shows so much personality.  I have Adobe Lightroom and used one of their presets on this photo to adjust the coloring.

I dragged my family up on campus to take pictures around Old Main.  There is a great view of the valley and I couldn't help but take this picture of the Logan LDS Temple.

I saved the best for last.  I love this picture of my son.  He told me he wasn't going to smile because he was looking "cool" instead.  I have to agree he looks pretty cool!

Card Swap- Birthday Theme

I love using up supplies! For this month's card swap group our theme was birthday cards.  I made this card using products that I had in my stash.  I did not buy a single thing. The paper is from the Perfect Day paper packet, the ribbon from a previous creative basics pack and the stamp set is called It's Your Day.  I added a little sparkle to the card with CTMH's Glitz Glitter Glue. The actual design of the card was inspired by my friend Lynette and was just adapted to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size.
On another note. You have 2 more days to sign up for the Clearly Splendor card class.  I have 3 spots left so email or call me asap!

June Booktable Layout

I would have posted my Booktable layout sooner but I didn't have the pictures yet.  They finally came so here you go.  I have to say I really thought this paper from Cosmo Cricket's Snorkel line is adorable.  Of course I added my own Close To My Heart touch with our foam numbers and I embossed the title and words along the right hand page.  The buttons are from SEI.
