As I photographer I like to hide behind the camera and let other people be in front. As an avid scrapbooker I know how important it is to have pictures of every member of the family including me! There are so many excuses we make as to why we don't want our picture taken but at the end of the day do we really want the consequences of not ever getting in front of the camera and having our picture taken? I don't want my kids to look at their albums and ask themselves "where was Mom?" So put away your excuses, put your big girl panties on and have your picture taken!

52 Week Photo Project - Week 34: Clouds
I love living in such a beautiful valley. This was one of many sunsets that I have enjoyed over the last 15 years. How did you capture the clouds this past week? Post below!
Next week's theme is "self portrait." I know this can be a tough one but you can do it. Is important to have pictures of yourself!

Back to School Pictures {Utah Children Photographer}
Today I worked on my own kids' back to school pictures! The session took place at high noon on a sunny Saturday. I pulled out all the tricks and still ended up with lots of squinty eyes thanks to the reflective surfaces I was shooting in. I still captured some great shots. Here are a few of my favorite. The first one above captures how truly mischievous my youngest is! We are in so much trouble with that one!
How did this young man get so old looking? He is such a great kids and is so cooperative when it comes to having his pictures taken. He totally grasps the concept that the quicker he cooperates the sooner he is done!
This sweet heart was so excited to take a picture with her cowboy hat on. This little lady can be so sweet and then so goofy! She keeps life entertaining.
This beauty is my oldest daughter. She is fun and spunky! She loves having her pictures taken and also enjoys helping me with sessions as my assistant. I don't know what I would do without her!

52 Week Photo Project - Week 33: Best Tan Line
This summer has been an awesome tanning season for everyone in my house except for they guy who wishes to remain anonymous! I can't believe how dark everyone including Kassie and I are. The tops of my feet are so dark that they look dirty. Allie's swim line is so dark that she looks like she is wearing a white swimsuit when she is in the tub. Mikele who is always dark did not disappoint and Brock and Kassie who are usually pretty white have impressive tans as well. Last weekend we went to Bear Lake and the guy in the photo got his first real taste of the sun without his shirt on. He faithfully applied sunblock but apparently it was no match for the Bear Lake sun. Needless to say it was PAINFUL! Thank goodness for lavender oil.
So lets see your impressive tan lines. Post on your blog and then add the link below. Next week's theme is "Clouds."

Adorable Little Lady {Utah Children Photographer}
Oh I love this sweet girl. She was so great to photograph. She just had me laughing as she would pose for her picture, say cheese and then be done and moving on to the next location. I had to be FAST!
This session was shot in the middle of the afternoon and I just love the lighting especially the ones further down in the post in the weeds. She loved crouching down and then popping up. The genuine smile and pure joy is priceless!
When she was done she had no problem letting me know. Fortunately after getting her a drink she posed for just a few more and I was able to capture that fabulous facial expression in the last picture. You can't help but laugh when you see it. I promise it is a gem!!

52 Week Photo Project - Week 32: Mom & Dad's Bedroom
Well this has been our bedroom for a number of nights this summer. We bought a trailer in the spring and set a goal to be camping in it at least twice a month all summer. We have done pretty well on our goal and have enjoyed almost every moment of it. (You can't have 6 people in tight corridors and have it always be smooth sailing).
Your turn to share. Post your link below. Next week's theme is "Best Tan Line." With summer coming to a close hopefully you have a fabulous tan line to share!

Little Cowboy {Utah Children Photographer}
Last week I had the opportunity to photograph these cute little guys and their Mom. This energetic 3 year old was so charming and boy he is one handsome little man. Be sure to scroll down through the rest of the photos. Some of my favorites are the ones with him in his cowboy hat.
This little guy (above) is just as cute as his big brother. He was such a good sport and we were able to capture some treasures especially of him with his Mom.
